Working efficiently from the very beginning is a typical feature of the top quality produced by STIHL. That is why STIHL has also developed the Easy2Start. No matter whether you pull on the starter rope quickly or slowly, the engine always starts reliably and without difficulty.

Several peak forces have to be overcome when starting a power tool with a standard starting system. With the STIHL Easy2Start, however, it is sufficient to give a smooth and gentle pull on the starter rope - the Easy2Start system takes care of the rest.

1. The starter mechanism is in its basic position. The spring is relaxed and the starter rope wound up.
2. As the rope is uniformly pulled out, the spring
is tensioned against the compression pressure and peak forces are compensated.
3. The spring automatically discharges its stored energy to the crankshaft, thus setting it in motion and ensuring the engine starts reliably

Distinctly less effort is needed to start the engine with the new STIHL Easy2Start. As the rope is pulled, a helical spring is tensioned against the compression pressure. This helical spring simultaneously compensates the individual peak forces, making them virtually imperceptible on the rope itself. When the energy stored in the spring is greater than the compression pressure, it is discharged to the crankshaft and the engine reliably started. That may sound complicated, but is in fact really simple. More importantly: the advantage is evident immediately.

The advantages of the STIHL Easy2Start are obvious: the effort needed to start the engine with Easy2Start is two-thirds less than when using a conventional starting system. In addition, the starting speed can similarly be reduced by roughly two-thirds with this system. In a nutshell: the engine starts easily without any hasty movements.

A gentle uniform pull on the starter rope is enough for the engine to start reliably. Power tools start easily with the new STIHL Easy2Start.
