The thickness of the nylon line varies, depending on the performance class and operating conditions. The advantage when buying new cutting lines is that the diameter is easily recognised by the colour, making measurement, or reference to the operator's manual unnecessary. |

Line High-grade polyamide materials give STIHL nylon line its optimum properties; high resistance to abrasion, permanent elasticity and resistance to fusing. |

Quiet, round nylon line A helical groove embossed in the normal nylon line makes this line quieter than usual. The indentations in the surface of the line interrupt the otherwise uniform air stream, causing eddies and reducing the whistling effect. The grooved nylon line is therefore particularly suitable for use in residential areas. |
