The strong jet of air from STIHL blowers quickly and thoroughly blows paths, flowerbeds, lawns and steps free from leaves, clippings and waste.

With powerful suction, the STIHL vacuum shredder effortlessly removes leaves and mown grass, even in the tightest corners and chops up the material which has been sucked in, making it ready for compost.

Different versions and power categories make it possible to choose the exact machine needed – with the necessary engine power and not a gram of excess weight.

Functional design: the ergonomically contoured handle with built in control elements sits exactly above the centre of the unit. During operation the machine can be held on the left hand or right hand side, as is desired (BG45 / 85).

	Central control on the handle – the controls for controlling the engine are on the handle grip – in backpack machines they are installed on the multi function control handle. Operating the machine is safe and easy. Hand stays on the handle.
Electronic ignition system – the electronic ignition system guarantees reliable machine starting and trouble free engine behaviour. The ignition system is fully sealed and therefore insensitive to dirt and moisture.
	STIHL ElastoStart – The STIHL Easy Start System with special starter grip. ElastoStart and manual fuel l pump, makes starting the machines quick and easy (BG85 / BR340 / BR340L/ BR420).
Filter system – the effective filter system ensures long service life. The mat filter can be easily removed for cleaning.
	Large dimension fanwheel – ensures sufficient cooling air and high airflow rate in STIHL blowers and vacuum shredders (pictured BG85).
Lockable throttle lever – the throttle lever can be locked in any position desired between idling and full throttle. This labour saving feature is not to be underestimated, particularly during longer spells of operation (BG85 / BR340 / BR340L / BR420).
	Rugged rotor blades – the top quality steel rotor blades in STIHL vacuum shredders SH55 support the fanwheel when cutting the clippings into small pieces. The chopped up material, which can be used as compost, is also outstandingly suitable as mulch.

MORE APPLICATIONS IN NEXT TO NO TIME

The hand held blowers STIHL BG45 / 55 / 85 can be converted to high-powered vacuum units with an easy to mount attachment. The attachment, available as a special accessory, consists of a suction tube, catcher bag with connectors and carrying harness.

With a blower converted in this way to a vacuum unit, the leaves, which are blown together, are sucked into the catcher bag without any problem and thanks to a large zip base, can also be emptied very easily.

STIHL offers a “Cleaning set for gutters” as another special accessory for all its hand held blowers. With this leaves can be blown out of gutters or garage roofs.

The backpack blowers STIHL BR340 / 340L / 420 can be equipped with a special conversion kit for conversion to a universal mistblower. Plant control preparations, granules or grass seeds can be distributed conveniently.
