Do you use ATV's for Spraying?
Imagine being able to set the speed of your ATV to match the flow rate on your pumps precisely.
Imagine having the ATV hold that speed within +/- 0.5kph (0.3mph) to hold the thumb throttle.
Imagine ANY operator being able to deliver the same result. Imagine how much more productive your operators could be.
Imagine minimising chemical wastage AND avoiding having to re-spray because the first application was patchy.
You don't have to 'imagine' QuadCruise delivers this and more!
QuadCruise is a new version of the electronic cruise control manufactured by MotorCycle Cruise Controls for motorcycles. It is designed to operate at speeds as low as 5 km/h (3mph) and up to 25 km/h (15 mph).
QuadCruise was originally developed for use in conjunction with ATV mounted weedicide sprayers. It is now finding use with the ever-growing range of ATV accessories such as mist sprayers, vine topping and trimming equipment, snail baiters and fertiliser spreaders. QuadCruise has been designed to provide power to any crop sprayer or other accessory fitted to the ATV (Quad).
The cruise control can be set to a specific speed to spray a row by pressing the SET button, and turned off at the end of the row with the brake lever. The RES button can be used to set the vehicle's speed back to the previous SET speed. The spray system will turn on and off with the cruise control, when the spray switch is in the AUTO position. Manual operation of the spray is possible when the spray switch is in the ON position. If the cruise control is disengaged by brake application, it can be resumed by pressing the "RES" button. The cruise control also holds the last 'set' speed in memory, even if the vehicle ignition switch is turned off.
Alterations to the ATV are minimal and generally easy, if required. Electrical connection is simply a matter of plugging the cruise control loom into the vehicle's loom in most cases, as the same type of electrical connectors as those used on the vehicle are provided in the QuadCruise kit. If alterations to the vehicle loom are required, all terminals for connection are supplied in the kit. In most cases, electrical components for the QuadCruise are placed in the ATV's luggage locker. Suitable grommets are provided on the wiring loom to seal any holes cut in the locker. The installation instructions provided with the cruise control are very detailed and have photographs of every step of the installation. A comprehensive trouble-shooting guide is also provided, including a full electrical schematic diagram.
