Tough, Powerful, and Dependable Kubota Diesel Engine
Exclusively designed for the versatile Kubota RTV900, the 3-cylinder water-cooled Kubota diesel engine is tough enough to take on an extensive range of challenges. Whether for work or for leisure, the engine will provide a stable and powerful driving force even under heavy load conditions. Further, this durable, environmentally-friendly Kubota diesel engine runs quiet, starts easily even when cold, and is simply refueled with commonly available diesel fuel.
Ease of Steering
Kubota introduces its unique fully hydrostatic power steering for the first time in the class of RTV900. This outstanding feature ensures that negotiating mountainous areas as well as all forms of terrain both on and off the road is easier and more secure.
VHT (Variable Hydro Transmission)
The new VHT transmission is sure to perform. The hydrostatic 3-range transmission has a load sensing motor that applies more power to the wheels when climbing hills of hauling heavy loads. The ranges can be selected to give the operator optimum performance in any condition. The transmission's dynamic braking makes traveling downhill stable and secure especially when loaded to capacity. Pedal pressure is very light due to the servo-valve technology reducing foot pressure.
VHT Advantages
Completely sealed, there are no belts to worry about like competitive utility vehicles. Hydrostatic power will assure pressure is always being applied to the wheels and will limit slipping on slopes and hills.
Selecting the Ideal Operational Speed
3-speed auxiliary shifting is ideal for any and all operating conditions. The low-speed range (Lo) provides maximum traction force to negotiate slopes with a heavy load. The medium-speed range (Med) is the ideal selection to negotiate normal driving conditions when loaded. Finally, the high-speed range (Hi) is the first choice for movement while not loaded; in this speed range, travel time is significantly reduced.
Reliable Braking
The highly-durable wet-type disc brakes provide smooth and consistent braking. Even when operating in mountain areas or over muddy roads where frequent braking is required, there is absolutely no worry about a drop in performance due to wear.
Negotiates a Wider Range of Ground Conditions
The comfortably large ground clearance of 8.3" (7.3" with turf tires) ensures successful negotiating not only over undulating roads, but also over steps or ridges. Moreover, a long wheelbase of 77.4" together with the wide treads of the front and rear tires contribute to steadier driving comfort.
Steady and Powerful On or Off the Road
The rear-wheel differential lock assists the driving force, which remains steady and powerful even when faced with soft, muddy, or sandy ground conditions on or off the road.
Powerful Dumping
(Option for General Purpose/ Recreational Models)
The powerful hydraulic bed lift system makes dumping operations as easy as manipulating the dumping lever conveniently located just to the side of the seat.
Secure Front Brush Guard
(Option for General Purpose Models)
The heavy-duty front brush guard is built to protect, covering the entire front end, it protects the compact body from damage during operations.
Carries a Remarkable Amount of Heavy Cargo
Longer and wider, the cargo bed is able to carry a remarkable amount of heavy cargo including a 48" pallet. This great capacity enhances efficiency and is especially appreciated at worksites, ranches and nurseries.
Enhanced Scope of Operations
Optional front/rear trailer hitch and winches which enhance the scope of operations are available.
Operation Status Easily Seen, Checked, and Understood
Instruments measuring and reporting on operation status are integrally laid out to the right of the steering wheel where they are extremely easy to see. Monitor lamps indicating charge status, oil level, warnings, and parking status are designed to be easily checked and understood.

Rough Terrain No Obstacle
Every step possible has been taken to minimize operator fatigue even after many hours of operation. On each of the front wheels, the MacPherson Strut type suspension - an independent suspension system - minimizes body tilt as well as absorbing shocks. On each of the rear wheels, the semi independent suspension type DeDion axle, the leaf spring, and the shock absorber act together to minimize shocks when negotiating rough terrain.
High Intensity Frame Structure
Incorporating advanced analysis technology, the frame structure for model RTV900 is manufactured from a lightweight, high intensity material that is robotically welded for optimum reliability.
Operator Safety is a Vital Consideration
The seat belt and the OSHA approved BOPS are fitted as standard features to protect the operator especially in the unlikely event of rollover or fall-over. With the optionally available plastic top, the operator is also protected against hot sun or rainy conditions.
Ease of Selecting the Ideal Speed for Conditions
Located on the right of the steering wheel, the shift lever is easily and simply manipulated - without having to stretch - to select the ideal speed for ground and vehicle conditions.
Keeping Refreshments Near at Hand
Considerations of comfort for both the operator and the passenger result in cup holders being located on both right and left sides of the interior of the Kubota RTV900.
Spacious and Comfortable Interior
The spacious legroom and comfortable seat contribute to greater relaxation and minimal fatigue even after long hours of operation.
Ergonomic Design
The tail gate lock mechanism makes it possible to open and close the hold with just "one touch."
Keeping Cargo Secure
Hooks, both front and rear, on both sides of the cargo bed permit cargo to be safely secured. Front hooks are designed to handle a wider width.
