The Howard Nugget range of Rotaslashers is designed and built to meet our customer requirements for a tough, long-life, general purpose slasher at the right price.

  • Latest design, spring steel laminated blade beam to soak up the knocks.

Nugget Rotaslashers are priced to compete, and specified to beat all the competition machines in their price range. Many of the features from the larger Howard Rotaslashers are incorporated to ensure long service life and top performance.

Recommended PTO power ratings at 540 rpm are:

  • Nugget 120: From 18 to 32kw (25 to 43hp)
  • Nugget 135: From 22 to 32kw (29 to 43hp)
  • Nugget 150: From 24 to 48kw (32 to 65hp)
  • Nugget 180: From 32 to 48kw (43 to 65hp)
  • Cat 1 three point linkage geometry. Nugget 135 and 150 are offset 18cm to the left. Nugget 120 and 180 are centrally mounted.
  • Bodies are manufactured from 5mm steel plate, etch primed and painted with high grade Ameron machinery enamel.
  • Tri-lobal drive shafts are fitted, completely covered by a "free-to-stop" safety guard. On Nugget 120 and 135 the uni-cross size is 27 x 75mm. Nugget 150 and 180 the uni-cross size is 30 x 92mm.
  • A twin plate, shock protection clutch is fitted to the slasher end of the drive shaft.
  • The gearboxes are single speed, purpose built models with nodular cast iron gear cases. The case hardened, alloy steel gears are supported by ball bearings in the gearboxes fitted to the Nugget 120 and 135, and by taper roller bearings in the Nugget 150 and 180 Rotoslashers
  • Multi-leaf, spring steel blade beam with tear-drop, stress reduced blade fastener holes are fitted to all Nugget Rotoslashers The massive blade beam incorporates a spindle trash guard.
  • Drop forged, heat treated, step-down blades swinging on extra hard, cold forged bushes.

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

  • Single, laminated rubber, puncture proof height control wheel. (Not available on 120)
  • Chain top link.
  • Front and rear chain safety guards.(The rear guards cannot be fitted to the 180 model if a wheel is also fitted)
If properly used or maintained, Nugget Rotoslashers, like all powered machines can cause bodily harm to operators and onlookers. Before operating the machine read the instruction book carefully and carry out all operating and maintenance recommendations.
